The global enterprise problem

Five countries, three brands, four languages, and one workforce that is mostly not at a desk. Each region buys its own tools, each tool has its own login, and nobody can prove a policy reached every employee.

Most of the workforce is deskless

Deskless workers are 70-80% of the global workforce, about 2.7 billion people (BCG, 2024). Tools built for corporate email and desktops never reach them.

Intranet reach varies by country

The intranet is the main source of company information for 39% of desk-based employees in the US, 45% in the UK, and 61% in Germany (Staffbase, 2025 study). A global rollout inherits every regional gap.

Application sprawl compounds by region

Companies with 5,000+ employees run 131 applications on average (Okta, Businesses at Work 2025). Regional buying multiplies logins, records, and audit surfaces.

Unofficial channels carry regulatory risk

The U.S. SEC has fined firms for off-channel communications in three rounds since 2022, including $1.1B across 16 firms in September 2022 and $392.75M across 26 firms in August 2024.

Governance is fragmented

Different retention rules, permission models, and audit logs per tool and per country make one compliance program impossible.

AI cannot be trusted on fragmented data

AI assistants answer from whatever they can read. Without one permissioned record, they either leak across regions or know nothing useful.

One identity, one record, one governance model

The platform test for a global enterprise is simple: can one employee record, provisioned from your HRIS, carry the right permissions across every country, brand, and workflow, with one audit trail?

One HRIS-driven employee record powering permissions across countries, brands, and workflows in MangoApps

MangoApps provisions every employee from your HRIS, whether or not they have a corporate email, and scopes what they see by role, region, brand, site, and language. Regional administrators publish and moderate for their own countries without touching another region's content. Audit logs, eDiscovery, legal hold, and retention policies apply once, platform-wide. That single permissioned record is also the precondition for AI that can be trusted across borders: answers come only from what the asking employee is allowed to open.

  • HRIS-driven identity: Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Paylocity, Rippling, BambooHR; SSO via Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, LDAP, SAML 2.0, or OIDC
  • Role, region, brand, and site permissions with delegated regional administrators
  • One audit trail, one retention policy, one eDiscovery and legal hold process
  • Read what "platform" actually means and why fragmented tools break enterprise AI
How AI grounded in the work record behaves

Every workflow, every country

Start with one app or pack. Expand on the same platform. Each workflow below runs on the same employee record, permissions, mobile app, and AI layer, with the regional controls a multi-country rollout needs.

Internal communications and frontline reach

Regional publishing calendars, automatic translation at publish, and acknowledgment reporting by country, site, and shift for policy and safety messages.

Modern intranet and knowledge

Multilingual SOPs and policies with local variants, version control, and review cycles, searchable by every employee without corporate email.

Scheduling and workforce management

Schedules, swaps, availability, and time off configured per country's labor rules, published to the same app employees already open.

Task and store operations

Site-level task rollouts, checklists, and inspections with completion visibility from the store floor up to the regional and global operations teams.

Performance and learning

Certifications and mandatory training tracked by region and regulator, goals and reviews on the same record as the rest of the employee's work.

HR operations

Local policy variants, onboarding paths per country, and HR self-service in the employee's language, with one HR case queue behind it.

Governance, compliance, and deployment for global buyers

MangoApps certifications for global enterprises, HITRUST CSF, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP ATO

MangoApps holds HITRUST CSF (including HIPAA), SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP ATO certifications and deploys as multi-tenant SaaS, Private Cloud, Customer VPC, or On-Premise, with one governance model across all four. The SaaS service is hosted on AWS with redundancy across multiple AWS regions; custom data residency, private cloud, and negotiated transfer terms are available through enterprise contracting. The MangoApps Data Processing Addendum names GDPR, UK GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018 and incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. The subprocessor list is published.

  • Certifications: HITRUST CSF, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, FedRAMP ATO; HIPAA BAA available. Security and Compliance
  • Deployment: SaaS, Private Cloud, Customer VPC, On-Premise. Deployment options
  • Controls: AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit, SSO and MFA, DLP, audit logs, eDiscovery, legal hold, retention policies, PII detection for AI
  • Data protection: DPA naming GDPR, UK GDPR, and the DPA 2018 with EU SCCs and the UK IDTA addendum · Subprocessor list
AI governance in regulated deployments

Languages, regions, and shifts

A global rollout is won or lost on whether a night-shift employee in a second language sees the right message at the right time and can prove it.

50+ languages

Posts, comments, policies, forms, and training translated automatically, with each employee reading in their preferred language.

Regional administrators

Country, brand, and business-unit admins publish, moderate, and report for their own scope under one global policy.

Time-zone publishing

Schedule announcements and campaigns by local time so every region receives them at the start of its day, not the middle of its night.

Acknowledgment by country, site, and shift

Must-read flags and acknowledgment reports show who has seen a policy change in every location, exportable for audits and regulators.

AI that works across borders without crossing permission lines

MangoApps AI answering employee questions from governed, permissioned enterprise content

MangoApps AI is grounded in the platform's own permissioned employee record, not in copies of your data. An employee asks a question in their language and gets an answer drawn only from the handbooks, SOPs, and policies they are already allowed to open, in their country and role. Every AI action is logged, usage is monitored, and PII detection runs on prompts and outputs. One AI governance program covers SaaS, private cloud, and on-premise deployments alike.

  • Answers only from content the asking employee can open, in their region and role
  • Every AI action logged and auditable; usage monitoring and PII detection built in
  • Same AI governance across SaaS, Private Cloud, Customer VPC, and On-Premise
  • Read why AI agents should run on native data, not copies

For UK enterprises

Frontline employees are 45% of the UK workforce, about 16.7 million people (Catalyst, 2025). For UK buyers, MangoApps' Data Processing Addendum names the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and incorporates the UK International Data Transfer Addendum for transfers. ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus are the certifications UK procurement teams most often ask for; MangoApps holds ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST CSF, and FedRAMP ATO, and publishes its current list on the Security and Compliance page. MangoApps works alongside Microsoft 365 for desk staff without requiring a Microsoft licence for every frontline employee.

HOW GLOBAL ROLLOUTS WORK

Start with one country or one workflow. Expand on the same platform.

Most customers are live within 8-12 weeks and reach 90%+ adoption within 90 days, backed by a written Adoption Guarantee. A named Customer Success Manager runs the rollout with your regional leads.

1. Provision from the HRIS

Connect the HRIS and identity provider once. Every employee, in every country, gets a record and the right permissions before launch.

2. Launch a pilot region or workflow

Pick one country, brand, or workflow with a measurable outcome, such as policy acknowledgment or schedule visibility, and launch in the local languages.

3. Delegate to regional administrators

Hand publishing and moderation to regional admins under the global policy, with translation and time-zone scheduling on by default.

4. Expand and retire point tools

Add workflows and regions on the same record. Most customers retire 4-5 intranet, comms, and knowledge tools in the first 18 months.

GLOBAL ENTERPRISE FAQ

Questions global buyers ask

MangoApps holds HITRUST CSF certification (which covers HIPAA), SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP ATO, and signs a HIPAA business associate agreement for covered entities. The current list, along with encryption, audit, and retention controls, is maintained on Security and Compliance. For a governance-first comparison of ten intranet platforms, read The 10 Best Employee Intranet Platforms for Governance, Compliance, and Global Workforce Communication.

The MangoApps SaaS service is hosted on AWS with redundancy across multiple AWS regions. Enterprises that need a specific residency, a dedicated environment, or their own cloud can choose Private Cloud, Customer VPC, or On-Premise deployment, and custom data residency and negotiated transfer terms are available through enterprise contracting. See Deployment Options.

Employees are provisioned from your HRIS or a roster import and activate the branded app with a mobile number, employee ID, or your SSO provider. No Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace licence is needed for frontline staff, and shared devices and kiosks are supported where personal phones are not allowed.

Administrative rights are granted by scope, so a regional, brand, or business-unit administrator can publish, moderate, manage users, and run reports only for their own population. Global administrators set the policies, templates, and retention rules that every region inherits, and all administrative actions are recorded in the audit log.

MangoApps translates content into 50+ languages. Posts, comments, policies, forms, and training are translated automatically, and each employee reads in their preferred language. See Language Translation.

Yes. MangoApps connects with 200+ systems, including Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Paylocity, Rippling, BambooHR, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Entra ID), Google Workspace, Okta, and ServiceNow. Desk staff keep SharePoint and Teams; MangoApps extends the same content and workflows to frontline staff who have no Microsoft licence. See Integrations.

Most customers are live within 8-12 weeks for the first region or workflow and reach 90%+ adoption within 90 days, a commitment backed by a written Adoption Guarantee. Additional countries and workflows are added on the same record and permissions, so each expansion is a configuration and change-management exercise rather than a new implementation.

Yes. Many global customers start with a single country, brand, or workflow, such as schedules for store employees or policy acknowledgment for a regulated business unit, and expand on the same platform. A.S. Watson Benelux runs MangoApps across 1,700 stores in four countries with 16,000+ Kruidvat employees at 80%+ active use and no corporate email.
