Communications
One place for company communication — the feed employees browse and talk back to, with Must-Read acknowledgement tracking, plus the communicator faces: Plan, Compose, and Measure.
MangoApps
Overview
Most company feeds rank for engagement, so the same algorithm that decides ranking also decides what someone never sees. Communications keeps those separate: who can see a post — everyone or a segment — is an explicit choice at publish time, not a ranking outcome. Personalization, like following a topic, only ever changes when a post surfaces, never whether it does.
Must-Read posts add a persistent acknowledge action with immutable, auditable records, so a safety alert or policy rollout leaves a real compliance trail. Ask a question and MangoApps routes it to the right subject-matter expert or surfaces a verified answer someone already gave — which then feeds Ask AI, so the same question doesn't get answered twice. Topic tagging, thread summaries, and signal extraction are admin opt-in throughout: AI saves reading time, it never decides who's allowed to read.

FAQ
News Feed is the always-on company feed employees browse, discuss, react to, and acknowledge — the pull channel where day-to-day communication lives. Broadcasts & Alerts is the urgent push channel for time-critical messages that interrupt and demand immediate acknowledgement. Comms Hub is the orchestration layer that plans and schedules communications across channels (Broadcast, News Feed, Surveys, Recognitions, Newsletters) and reports on them together; News Feed posts sync into Comms Hub as one of those sources. Use News Feed for ongoing communication and discussion, Broadcasts for emergencies, and Comms Hub to coordinate campaigns spanning both.
News Feed is a licensed marketplace app. It is disabled by default and an administrator enables it per tenant from the Apps Marketplace — there is no automatic org-wide rollout.
Must-Read is an escalated Operational post that requires a persistent Acknowledge from recipients and has a mandatory expiry date. After the window closes, the post is automatically archived and drops off the active feed — it does not continue on as a standard Operational post. Social content can never be made Must-Read, so acknowledgement can't be forced on water-cooler chatter.
Every post is sent to Everyone in the business or scoped to one or more segments. Segment resolution supports groups and virtual segments like "My Direct Reports." An estimated audience size is shown before you publish. Who is allowed to post to Everyone is an admin policy (admins only, admins and leadership, or anyone).
Yes. Admins can enable or disable comments and the whole discussion layer, curate which of the 14 reactions are available (2–12), and auto-close discussions after an inactivity window. Users can report a comment; the report and reason are captured in an audit log, though it doesn't currently route to an admin review queue. Individual users can also mute a post to silence their own notifications without leaving the conversation.
News Feed's AI can auto-assign topics, suggest topics in the composer, retrieve the closest verified answer for a new Question, summarize long discussion threads, summarize poll results, route unanswered questions to subject-matter experts, and extract Risk/Issue/Idea/Question/Decision/Action-Item/Sentiment signals for admins. These are admin-controlled and most ship off by default — you turn on only what you want.
When an author or admin marks a comment as the Correct Answer on a Question post, News Feed projects it into a searchable knowledge base and generates an embedding for semantic retrieval. That verified answer surfaces through the feed's Verified-Answers-Only filter, powers in-app auto-answer suggestions, and is handed off to Ask AI so future questions can be answered from your company's own resolved Q&A.
Single-select, multi-select, and ranked-choice polls. Polls can be anonymous, results can be live or hidden until close, and duration runs from 1 hour to 30 days (default 7) — or set to never auto-close and close it manually.
