Ballots
Run structured, auditable votes on documents and people — single-choice and election styles — with eligibility, comment policies, results, and a full audit trail.
MangoApps
Overview
Ballots lets an organization run structured, auditable votes on documents (policies, agreements, proposals) and on people (committee elections, appointments). It supports two voting styles — Single Choice (Yes/No/Abstain) and Multiple Choice (Election) — with configurable eligibility groups, per-choice comment policies, result visibility and availability rules, auto-approval thresholds, revoting, and a complete, exportable audit trail of every consequential action. Members see only the ballots they are included in; admins manage voters, correct votes with an audit comment, resolve outcomes, re-open or re-circulate ballots, and monitor participation and decision velocity through analytics.

FAQ
Ballots requires a per-tenant license and is disabled by default. An administrator enables it from your Apps Marketplace; there is no separate free tier.
No. Votes are attributable for audit purposes — there is no secret-ballot cryptography. Every consequential action is logged with the actor and timestamp, and admins can review the full history.
Members only see ballots they're included in — ones they created or are eligible to vote on. Eligibility comes from the voter roster frozen at publish; App Admins, Admins, and Super Admins see every ballot in the business, plus Analytics and Settings.
Voting ends. Yes/No ballots with auto-approval enabled resolve against the threshold automatically; otherwise a creator or admin records the outcome (approve, reject, or decline). Elections declare the top-seats winner(s) when resolved.
Up to 10 document items or up to 10 candidates per ballot. Ballot titles can be up to 100 characters, and the auto-approval threshold can be set anywhere from 1% to 100% of eligible voters.
Yes, if revoting is enabled on that ballot. The previous vote is superseded but kept in history, so only the latest vote counts while the full trail remains auditable. Admins can also correct a recorded vote with a required audit comment.
Admins can always create. Beyond that, an administrator chooses in Settings whether any user can create ballots or only admins plus members of selected groups.
Ballots is for binding, auditable decisions — a defined eligible roster, a recorded outcome, and a full audit trail. Surveys collect anonymous opinion or feedback, and Ideas crowdsources suggestions with upvotes and a triage pipeline. Reach for Ballots when the vote itself is the decision of record.
