Overview
Publishing a ballot on OneMango freezes its voter roster on the spot. Eligibility resolves once — from everyone, the groups, or the people you targeted — into a snapshot, not a live query against current membership. Someone joining or leaving that group afterward can't change who was entitled to vote on a ballot already underway. A ballot starts as a draft you assemble — up to ten document items or candidates, each able to carry its own PDF that voters read in an in-app viewer — and publishing it with a future open date schedules it to open and close on its own dates without anyone touching the app again.
Yes/No ballots can be approved automatically at close when auto-approval is on and the affirmative share of every eligible voter, not just those who voted, meets the threshold; otherwise the creator or a Ballots admin records the outcome. Elections are resolved by the ballot's creator or a Ballots admin, but the winner is computed — top vote-getters by tally, not a manual pick. Every vote stays attributable, and corrections, re-opens, and re-circulations write to a timestamped, exportable history. Ballots requires a per-tenant license and is disabled by default. An administrator enables it from your Apps Marketplace; there is no separate free tier.
No. Votes are attributable for audit purposes — there is no secret-ballot cryptography. Every consequential action is logged with the actor and timestamp, and the ballot's creator and Ballots admins can review the full history.
Members only see ballots they're included in — ones they created or are eligible to vote on. Eligibility comes from the voter roster frozen at publish. Ballots admins (App Admins, Admins, and Super Admins) see every ballot in the business, plus Settings; Analytics is theirs by default and can be opened to members of specific groups.
Voting ends. A Yes/No ballot with auto-approval enabled is approved automatically if its affirmative votes reach the threshold share of all eligible voters; otherwise the ballot's creator or a Ballots admin records the outcome (approve or reject). For an election, the creator or a Ballots admin either declares the winner, and the top vote-getters for the open seats are elected, or closes the election with no winner. If nobody voted in an election, there is no winner to declare: re-open it for more voting, or close it with no winner.
Yes. Save a ballot as a draft while you assemble it, then publish when ready. Set a future open date and it publishes as Scheduled and opens automatically at that time — and it auto-closes at its close date without anyone reopening the app.
Up to 10 document items or up to 10 candidates per ballot. Ballot titles can be up to 100 characters, and the auto-approval threshold can be set anywhere from 1% to 100% of eligible voters.
Yes, if revoting is enabled on that ballot. The previous vote is superseded but kept in history, so only the latest vote counts while the full trail remains auditable. The ballot's creator and Ballots admins can also correct a recorded vote on a Yes/No ballot, with a required comment.
Ballots admins and Ballots contributors can always create. In Settings, a Ballots admin chooses whether any member can create ballots, only Ballots admins and contributors, or those plus members of specific groups. To let one person create without Ballots settings, a company admin makes them a Ballots contributor. New tenants start with Ballots admins and contributors only.
Ballots is for binding, auditable decisions — a defined eligible roster, a recorded outcome, and a full audit trail. Surveys collect anonymous opinion or feedback, and Ideas crowdsources suggestions with upvotes and a triage pipeline. Reach for Ballots when the vote itself is the decision of record.
