Recognition Content Moderation — content moderation for employee recognition posts

Recognition posts are now screened through AI analysis and keyword filters before they are published. The moderation layer applies consistently across web, mobile, and API submissions, so posts originating from any surface — including third-party integrations and mobile apps — follow the same content rules. This gives HR teams and recognition program owners confidence that peer shout-outs and nominations stay within acceptable boundaries without requiring manual review of every post.

Use case: An HR manager configures a keyword block list to prevent inappropriate language in recognition posts; the filter now intercepts violations from the mobile app and external integrations, not just the web interface.

Ad-hoc Role Requirements on Shifts — per-shift role requirements without location-level configuration

Schedulers can now add role requirements directly on individual shifts by selecting from the organization's role-type catalog. Previously, if a location had no pre-configured staffing rules, the Staff Requirements section on the shift form had no way to add role coverage — leaving the section empty and preventing role-based coverage tracking for those shifts. Ad-hoc roles added to a shift are now reflected in coverage calculations and marketplace matching, so open-shift distribution and coverage reports stay accurate.

Use case: A store manager creating a Saturday shift needs a Keyholder present but that location has no standing role rules — they can now add the requirement directly on the shift, and the system will flag the gap if no Keyholder is assigned.

News Feed: Unread-First Ordering and Mark All Read — smarter news feed prioritization and bulk read management

The company news feed now surfaces unread content at the top, ordered by priority (Must-Read first, then operational, then social) and publication date within each tier. A new mark-all-read action lets employees clear their entire unread queue in a single step. Navigation badges across the platform also update from a single call rather than making six separate requests, reducing page load overhead. Together these changes make the feed faster to scan and easier to keep current, particularly for frontline employees who check in periodically throughout the day.

Use case: A frontline worker opens the news feed after a shift and sees all unread must-read announcements at the top; after reviewing them, they tap "Mark all as read" to clear the badge without opening each post individually.
