Calculators

Do the arithmetic yourself.

Seven calculators for the decisions you have to defend to someone else. Every figure carries its source, each one can come back saying don't, and none asks for your email first.

The set

Seven questions, seven calculators

Each one has its own page, with the source under every figure and a note on what its arithmetic ignores.

How these are built

The same rules apply to all seven, because a calculator nobody believes is worse than no calculator.

Every number has a source

Each input carries the research or customer figure it comes from, printed under it on the page. Where we publish no benchmark — your hourly cost, your turnover — it says so and asks for yours.

They can tell you not to buy

Build-vs-buy names the headcount above which building wins. The business case can say the cash alone does not cover it. The readiness check can tell you plainly that you are not ready yet.

They say where they are simple

Each one lists what its arithmetic ignores — implementation time, change management, the hours that never become cash. A simple model is credible only when it says where it is simple.

The business case template has the formulas for all seven savings, so you can take them to your own finance team and change them.

Questions about the calculators

No. All seven run on their own page and nothing is gated. The only thing behind a form is the spreadsheet version of the business case, which has the formulas written out so your finance team can change them.

Published research and our own customers, cited under each input. The time savings come from IDC and Harvard Business Review; the licensing, IT and onboarding figures come from MangoApps deployments; prices come from our live price catalogue, so a calculator and the pricing page can never quote different figures.

The hours are what the research says people lose. Whether they become money is a separate question, which is why the business case counts cash and time apart and asks you how much of the time you would credit — defaulted to a quarter, not all of it. The line that matters is how little of it has to be real before the subscription pays for itself.

Yes, and that is what they are for. Set your own numbers, take the figures and the sources with them, and download the template if you want the formulas. If you would like someone to go through them with you, ask for a walkthrough.

Rather have someone go through it with you?

A solutions consultant will work through your own numbers, and tell you where the case is thin.
