Product Update - September 15, 2026
Ask AI Document Attachments — Ask questions about uploaded files in Ask AI
Ask AI now reads the full content of text, CSV, Word (.docx), and Excel (.xlsx) files attached to a conversation. Previously, only images and PDFs were processed — other file types were silently rejected, leaving users with an unhelpful error. Now employees can upload a report, a spreadsheet, or a policy document and ask questions about it directly, without switching tools.
Use case: An HR manager uploads a compensation survey in Excel and asks Ask AI to summarize the pay ranges by department — without copying the data into a separate tool.
Available in: Ask AI → Conversation → Attach File
Recorder Public Link Sharing — Share recordings externally with a permanent public link
Recordings can now be opened to anyone with the link, not just signed-in employees. This adds a third audience option — alongside Private and Company — so teams can share training walkthroughs, product demos, or announcements outside the organization without requiring recipients to log in. Public links are created automatically when a recording is set to "Anyone with the link" and stay active until the audience is narrowed or the link is manually revoked. Tenant admins can cap expiry for all public links; by default, links never expire.
Use case: A solutions engineer records a product walkthrough and shares a single permanent link with a prospective customer — no guest login, no attachment, and no re-recording if the customer forwards it.
Available in: Recorder → Recording → Access → Anyone with the link
People Directory Quick Search Configuration — Customizable search shortcuts for the employee directory
Admins can now choose which shortcut pills appear under the People search box — replacing the previous hardcoded list of "Super Admins," "Admins," and a couple of site names that were irrelevant for most employees. The new Quick searches card in People settings lets admins tick, remove, and reorder any combination of role, site, department, and job-title searches. Members who previously saw a blank shortcut row now see the site and department pills that are actually useful to them.
Use case: A manufacturing company replaces the default admin-role shortcuts with pills for their main plant locations and the most-searched job titles, so frontline workers find colleagues faster.
Available in: People → Settings → Quick searches
