Comms Hub — unified internal communications platform for HR and IC teams

Enterprise internal communications teams routinely stitch together separate tools for newsletters, emergency alerts, digital signage, and campaign analytics. Comms Hub is a new MangoApps marketplace app that consolidates the full IC workflow into one place: a shared composer for all comms types, a publication calendar showing all scheduled and sent content, audience targeting using the workforce directory, multi-channel delivery (email, in-app feed, push, and digital signage), and a unified analytics dashboard. Because Comms Hub sits inside the same platform employees already use for shifts, HR, and collaboration, IC teams gain live access to workforce data — attendance, onboarding status, recognition activity — for personalized and triggered communications that standalone newsletter tools cannot replicate.

Organizations handling safety incidents, weather events, or operational emergencies can now send emergency alerts to specific employee audiences directly from MangoApps. Each alert dispatches across all configured channels — in-app notification, email, and mobile push — with per-recipient delivery status tracked in real time. Employees can acknowledge the alert with a check-in action (reachable from the notification link even without logging in), giving safety and HR teams live visibility into who has confirmed receipt. Audience targeting uses the existing workforce directory, so alerts can be scoped to a specific location, department, shift group, or custom list without manual roster management.

Use case: A facilities manager declaring a building closure can send an alert to all employees assigned to that location and monitor check-ins from the dispatch dashboard as confirmations arrive, without making phone calls or managing a separate emergency contact system.

Internal newsletters and recurring communications previously required manually creating a new publication for each send. Comms Hub publications now support a cadence — a defined recurring schedule that drives repeated sends without additional authoring work. The cadence builder in the publication form offers preset options (daily, weekly on a chosen day, monthly on a chosen date) and a custom mode for advanced cron-style expressions. Once saved, the publication detail page displays the cadence in plain language (e.g., "Every Monday at 9:00 AM") so authors and approvers can confirm the schedule at a glance.

Use case: An HR communicator setting up a weekly safety tip series can create the publication once, set a cadence of "every Monday at 9:00 AM," and let the platform handle subsequent sends — without a recurring calendar reminder to re-publish manually.
