Workspace — AI-native project collaboration app for teams

Workspace is a new marketplace app that brings message board, to-do lists, schedule, files, recurring check-ins, and Hill Charts onto a single canvas — with an AI teammate that does the maintenance work automatically. The AI drafts each team member's check-in response from their recent activity, proposes Hill Chart positions as to-dos complete, and generates a weekly client digest with internal-only content automatically redacted. Every AI-generated write surfaces for one-click approval before anything posts, so teams stay in control while spending a fraction of the time on status updates.

Use case: A project manager running a client engagement sets up a Workspace for the team — by Friday, the AI has already drafted the weekly client digest from the week's completed tasks and messages, and the manager approves and sends it in under a minute.

Contracted Hours Control for Scheduling — enforce employee hour budgets during shift assignment

Shift scheduling now respects contracted hour budgets for both auto-assign and manual drag-and-drop. Admins can configure a weight multiplier that scales the soft penalty when an employee is near their hours limit, and choose an enforcement mode — strict (hard block for non-admins), soft warning (flag but allow), or off. A new over-budget warning appears in the assignment panel when a manual placement would exceed an employee's contracted hours, and the auto-assign wizard exposes a per-run enforcement override so admins can make exceptions without changing the global setting.

Use case: An operations manager at a healthcare facility runs auto-assign for the week and sees that two part-time employees were about to be scheduled beyond their contracted hours — strict mode blocks the assignment and surfaces alternatives, preventing a compliance issue before the schedule is published.

Platform Direct Messaging — direct messages between employees across the platform

Employees can now send direct messages to any colleague from anywhere in the platform, without switching to a separate messaging tool. Conversations support threaded replies, emoji reactions, bookmarks for saving important messages, and drafts for messages not yet ready to send. The unified inbox surfaces all direct messages alongside other platform notifications, so nothing gets missed.

Use case: A field service technician finishes a job and sends a quick direct message to the dispatcher to flag a follow-up issue — the dispatcher sees it in their unified inbox alongside shift notifications and responds without leaving the platform.
