Access Requests in Service Desk — self-service access management for locations, workspaces, apps, and equipment
Service Desk now includes a dedicated Access Requests tab where employees can request access to the resources they need — Shifts locations, project workspaces, intranet sites, marketplace apps, and Asset Pro equipment categories — all from one place. Resource owners (location managers, workspace owners, site owners) can review and approve requests in the same queue without needing full agent rights. Admins can also configure auto-approval policies for location access by proximity (same city, same state, or any location), and workspace owners can mark their workspace "Open to join" so employee requests are granted immediately.
Use case: A field worker needs access to a new job site location and an equipment category for their upcoming project — they submit both requests from the Access Requests tab and get approved by their location manager within minutes, without opening a support ticket.
Available in: Service Desk → Access Requests tab
Topics on News Feed Comments — AI topic tagging and hashtag search extended to comments
The topic system that organizes News Feed posts now applies to comments as well. Authors can use #hashtags directly in the comment composer, and AI auto-classification can assign topics to comments in the background — independently from post-level classification, so teams can enable it separately. Topic chips appear on comment cards, and the topic filter in the feed now surfaces posts when the match is in a comment rather than the post itself. The result is a more complete picture when browsing or searching by topic, with no stray conversations hiding beneath an untagged comment.
Use case: A company-wide announcement post receives dozens of comments across departments — a search for the "Compliance" topic surfaces relevant comments buried in that thread, not just the original post.
Available in: News Feed → Comments → Topic chips and hashtag autocomplete
Ask AI Chat Summaries — room-scoped conversation recap and smarter translation in chat
Ask AI can now summarize recent activity in a chat room — covering the last 24 hours of conversation (up to 100 messages) without needing to scroll back or read through history. Translation in chat is now language-aware: if the detected source language already matches the target, Ask AI skips the provider call entirely and returns immediately, so a message written in English does not trigger a redundant English translation. These improvements are part of the ongoing Ask AI integration into the MangoApps Chat experience, bringing the same AI assistance available in other modules into real-time conversations.
Use case: A manager returning from a day out of office asks Ask AI to summarize the team channel — they get a concise recap of what was discussed, decisions made, and open items, in seconds.
