Automatic Clock-Out & Reminders — automated clock-out for employees who forget to end their shift

Managers can now configure a cutoff time after which employees who are still clocked in are automatically clocked out by the system. Optional reminder notifications can be sent to employees before the cutoff, giving them a chance to clock out themselves. Records that are automatically closed are placed in a manager review queue so supervisors can verify the accuracy of each entry before it is finalized.

Use case: A retail manager sets a 30-minute grace period after a shift ends — employees receive a reminder, and anyone still clocked in is automatically clocked out, with the entries flagged for manager review before payroll is processed.

Time Off Balance Calculator — project future leave balance before submitting a request

Employees can now open a balance calculator directly from the leave requests or leave accruals page to project what their balance will be on any future date. The calculator accounts for scheduled accruals, already-approved time off, and pending requests, giving employees an accurate picture of available leave before they submit a new request. It also surfaces any shift conflicts during approved leave periods.

Use case: An employee planning a two-week vacation in December can check their projected balance in November to confirm they will have enough accrued leave before submitting the request.

Who's Out Today Widget — see which teammates are absent at a glance

A new dashboard widget gives employees a real-time view of which colleagues are absent today due to approved leave. Each entry links through to the leave details, making it easy to plan around team availability without having to check a separate calendar or ask a manager.

Use case: A team lead logs in Monday morning and immediately sees that two colleagues are out on approved leave, allowing them to reassign tasks before the day's standups.
