Leave Coverage Alerts for Managers — Real-time team coverage checks in leave approvals

The leave approvals dashboard now evaluates team capacity in real time as managers review pending requests. When approving a leave request would push a team below its defined coverage threshold, the system blocks approval and surfaces a clear alert. When coverage is at risk but not yet at the limit, managers see a warning so they can make an informed decision before acting. This gives managers the context they need to balance employee requests with operational continuity — without relying on manual headcounts or separate tools.

Use case: A shift supervisor reviewing three overlapping leave requests for the same day sees a coverage violation alert and can reach out to arrange coverage before approving, preventing an understaffed shift.
