What Mango IQ Helps You Do

Six capabilities that take CI from "slide deck nobody reads" to "system that drives weekly action".

Crawl Competitors Automatically

Configure up to 10 competitors (default cap). The system crawls up to 100 pages per competitor on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence. Shared crawl cache across businesses reduces cost.

Surface Content Gaps

AI-powered analysis identifies pages and topics competitors rank for that you don't. Gaps surface in priority order; each one has an AI-drafted brief to start from.

Compare Features Side-By-Side

Feature comparison matrix — your product vs. each competitor. Refresh as competitor pages change; the matrix updates automatically.

Track Market Themes

Market theme tracking surfaces what positioning, language, and category claims are gaining ground across the competitive landscape.

Monitor Change Events

Significant changes — repositioning, new features, pricing moves — surface as change events with alerts. Don't find out three weeks late from a lost deal.

Generate Briefings + Action Items

Weekly and monthly intelligence digests with AI-drafted action items. Each action item carries a draft (battle-card update, blog brief, sales-enablement note) ready for review.

Why Mango IQ Exists — And Why It's Dogfooded

MangoApps runs its own competitive intelligence on Mango IQ. The product you buy is the product we use to compete with Beekeeper, Workvivo, Staffbase, and the other 20 vendors in our category.

CI That Stays Fresh, Not Quarterly

Quarterly CI cycles produce battle cards that are stale by week six. Mango IQ refreshes on a configurable cadence — daily for the fast-moving competitors, weekly for the rest.

  • Configurable crawl cadence — daily, weekly, or monthly per competitor.
  • Auto-analyze new pages — when a competitor adds a page, analysis fires automatically.
  • Change-event monitoring — significant repositioning, feature, or pricing changes alert in chat and email.
  • Shared crawl cache — across businesses (opt-in) to reduce cost.

AI That Acts On The Intelligence

Most CI tools stop at the dashboard. Mango IQ writes the next action — a draft blog brief, a battle-card update, an outbound talk track — and ties it to the canonical CiActionItem table.

  • Content gap analysis — surfaces topics competitors rank for that you don't.
  • Feature comparison matrix — your features vs. each competitor's features.
  • Market theme tracking — recurring positioning, language, and category claims.
  • Action items with AI drafts — battle card updates, blog briefs, sales enablement notes.
  • Digests — weekly and monthly intelligence rollups, sent or surfaced in chat.

An Agent That Answers The Question Directly

"What does Beekeeper say about AI?" "Where are we losing in search?" "What changed at Workvivo this week?" The Mango IQ Agent answers in chat — 35 tools, 8 of them confirmation-gated writes.

  • 27 read tools — competitor profiling, threat scoring, SEO comparison, briefings.
  • 8 gated writes — intel notes, change-event acks, digests, action-item drafts.
  • Grounded in the canonical competitive-intelligence data layer — competitors, pages, keyword rankings, change events.
  • Compose with Mango GTM — competitive context feeds the outbound drafts directly.

Mango IQ In Practice

A practical scope check: what the app covers, which controls matter, and the workflows teams usually run first.

Core workflow

Track competitors automatically with AI-powered website crawling and change detection.

Controls that matter

Reporting & Digests includes Weekly intelligence digest (last 7 days) and Monthly intelligence digest (last 30 days).

Scope and specs

Useful specs: default competitor limit is 10 (admin-configurable), default page limit is 100 per competitor, SEO and keyword data is refreshed on a five-day cycle.

Product launch intelligence

Before launching a new feature, review how competitors position similar capabilities and identify messaging gaps to exploit.

Sales enablement

Sales teams ask the AI agent "How do we compare to Competitor X on pricing?" and receive an up-to-date competitive brief.

Content strategy planning

Marketing identifies topics competitors cover that your website lacks and uses AI-generated draft content to close the gap.

→ Mango GTM

Mango IQ sees the market; Mango GTM acts on it. Competitor profiles and battle cards feed the outbound drafts that Mango GTM's Prospecting Agent produces.

Competitive churn signals — a customer mentioning a competitor in support tickets, for example — flow into Mango CS for at-risk-account triage.

See Mango CS

→ Mango Signal

Internal workforce sentiment and external competitive sentiment both feed the broader intelligence surface — the company-wide listening posture.

REPLACES POINT TOOLS

One CI surface in place of the competitor-tracking sprawl

Most product marketing teams pay Crayon or Klue for the competitive tracking, a separate web-monitoring tool, an analyst subscription, and an internal wiki nobody updates. Mango IQ is the live competitive intelligence surface — feeding GTM, CS, and product directly, dogfooded by MangoApps itself.

Instead of

Crayon

Competitive intelligence with seat-based pricing

  • One per-employee suite license — no per-seat Crayon SKU growing with the team
  • 35-tool agent acts on the data — drafts briefs, surfaces change events, generates digests
  • Lives next to the actual GTM motion — not a slide deck nobody reads
Instead of

Klue

Sales-enablement CI platform

  • Battle cards live next to the customer record — not a separate Klue card library
  • Change events feed GTM and CS alerts directly — not a weekly digest email
  • Dogfooded — MangoApps runs its own competitive intelligence on Mango IQ
Instead of

Kompyte

Real-time competitive tracking

  • Change-event detection lives in the same platform that drives the GTM response
  • One audit + retention story across every competitive signal
  • Same SSO and identity as the rest of MangoApps — not a separate vendor portal
Instead of

Aomni

AI-driven account research

  • 35 tools across competitor profiling, keyword + content gaps, change events, and briefing generation
  • Permission-aware grounding — answers reflect the data the asker can see, not a vendor crawl
  • Briefs hand off into the GTM motion natively, not as a PDF in a Slack channel
Instead of

Owler / G2 Tracking

Public-source competitor monitoring

  • Combines public signal with your own win/loss, conversation, and product data
  • Output is operational — change-event acks, intel notes, digests — not just a daily news email
  • Lives where the rest of the GTM team already works — no second tool to open

PLATFORM LEVERAGE

Mango IQ inherits everything else MangoApps already does

A standalone CI tool has to build, buy, or integrate each of these. Mango IQ gets them for free because the GTM stack shares one platform.

Shared customer record

Win/loss, mentioned-competitor, and at-risk signal flow from the Mango GTM and Mango CS records — not a Klue CSV.

Identity & SSO

Product marketing, AEs, and CSMs sign in with the same SAML/OIDC SSO. No separate Crayon login to provision.

Content corpus & embeddings

The same pgvector / corpus the rest of the platform indexes powers keyword + content-gap analysis — no separate vector store to maintain.

Audit log & retention

Intel notes, change-event acks, briefs, and digests land in the same audit log Legal already uses across the platform.

Workflow & automation

A competitor change event can fire a GTM alert, a CS playbook, and a product-marketing brief task — one automation engine.

Permission-aware AI

35-tool agent across profiling, gaps, change events, and briefs — 8 risky writes, all confirmation-gated; reads are permission-aware.

INDUSTRY FIT

Built for the B2B businesses whose competitor set actually moves

Mango IQ is the live CI surface for B2B companies whose competitor moves change the deal weekly — and whose existing CI tool is a slide deck nobody updates.

B2B SaaS

Competitor pricing, packaging, and positioning tracked live — feeding battle cards, win/loss, and pricing-page response in real time.

Marketplaces & Platforms

Competitive take-rate and seller-experience monitoring tied to the GTM motion and partner pipeline.

Professional Services

Competitor positioning by service line, RFP-response intel, and analyst-mention tracking — all on the same record as the pursuit.

Hardware-Plus-Software

Competitor product launches, firmware updates, and bundle pricing tracked alongside your own roadmap.

B2B Communications & Tech

Carrier-and-platform competitor monitoring, regulation tracking, and partner-ecosystem mapping in one CI surface.

B2B Services & Agencies

Competitor positioning, talent moves, and client-win monitoring feeding pursuit strategy and account planning directly.

WHY MANGOAPPS WINS

One platform beats a stack of point solutions on every axis

The argument the CMO, the product-marketing lead, the CRO, and the CS leader all share — and the one a standalone CI vendor structurally cannot answer.

Cheaper than the stack

One per-employee suite license replaces Crayon + Klue + Kompyte + analyst sub — no per-seat metering on the CI surface.

More secure

One identity perimeter, one audit log, one retention policy across every intel note, brief, and digest.

Easier to deploy

Already deployed if you have MangoApps. Add competitors, point at pages to monitor, generate the first brief the same day.

Easier to use

CI lives next to the GTM motion — AEs, CSMs, and PMM see the same battle cards, change events, and briefs on the same record.

Easier to manage

One competitor record, one change-event feed, one digest cadence — no separate "Klue admin" surface, no parallel monitoring tool.

Easier to extend

A change event can fire a GTM alert, a CS playbook, a battle-card update, and a product-marketing brief task using one automation engine.

AI is actually better

35-tool agent grounded in your CRM, win/loss, conversation, and content corpus — generates briefs, acknowledges change events, drafts digests. Every risky write confirmation-gated.

Pair Mango IQ With Its Agent

35 tools across competitor profiling, keyword + content gaps, change events, and briefing generation. 8 risky writes (intel notes, change-event acks, digests, action-item drafts), all confirmation-gated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mango IQ was built to run MangoApps's own competitive intelligence motion. The same automated crawler, gap analyzer, and change-event monitor that tracks Beekeeper, Workvivo, and Staffbase for us is sold to customers in any category where competitive intelligence matters. We use it every week; customers get the same product, not a polished demo version.

Standalone CI tools live outside your GTM stack. Mango IQ is built into MangoApps — competitive intelligence feeds Mango GTM's outbound drafts directly, surfaces in the AI Product Advisor on your marketing site, and writes action items to the canonical CRM record. The intelligence flows into the action.

Default cap is 10 competitors, up to 100 pages each. Caps are configurable. The shared crawl cache (opt-in) reduces cost when multiple businesses are tracking the same competitor.

Monthly LLM budget is configurable per business (default $50/month). The system stays within budget — long-running analyses queue when the budget is near exhaustion.

The crawler diffs pages between crawls. Significant changes (repositioning copy, new features, pricing tier shifts, new categories) generate change-event records. Admins can configure alerts to fire when significance crosses a threshold.

The system is built for competitor tracking, but the page-crawl + gap-analysis machinery applies to partner sites, market research domains, and reference sites. The Content Corpus feature (opt-in for tenants owning the global marketing content) extends the model further.

35 tools, 8 gated writes. The agent answers questions in chat (read tools) and writes intel notes / acknowledges change events / generates digests / drafts action items (confirmation-gated writes). Every write is grounded in the canonical competitive-intelligence data layer. See the agent page.
