Lift Plan Authorization

All rigging components were inspected before use and show no visible damage, deformation, excessive wear, or missing identification.

Load attachment points, lifting lugs, and connection hardware are verified as suitable for the planned lift path and forces.
Crane Configuration and Capacity

Crane make, model, and configuration documented
Crane type, make/model, boom length, counterweight, jib, and outrigger configuration are recorded in the lift plan.

Planned load radius verified
Planned working radius is measured and matches the crane chart configuration used for capacity calculations.

Crane capacity adequate at planned radius
Planned load, including rigging and dynamic factors, remains within the crane's rated capacity for the selected configuration and radius.

Calculated load percentage at the planned radius is documented and reviewed for critical lift criteria.

Anti-two-block, load moment, and safety devices functional
Required crane safety devices are present and functional for the planned operation.
Ground Bearing and Site Conditions

Ground bearing capacity verified
Ground or support surface capacity has been reviewed and is adequate for crane loading, outrigger reactions, and lift path conditions.

Outrigger mats or cribbing installed as planned
Mats, pads, or cribbing are installed per the lift plan and sized for the expected load distribution.

Setup area level within plan tolerance
Crane setup area is level within the tolerance specified by the manufacturer or lift plan.

Overhead and side obstructions cleared
Power lines, structures, plant equipment, and other obstructions are identified and controlled for the planned boom path and load path.

Weather conditions within lift limits
Wind, visibility, precipitation, and lightning conditions are within the limits established by the lift plan and manufacturer guidance.
Communication, Exclusion Zone, and Final Sign-Off

Primary signal protocol established
Primary communication method is defined, including hand signals, radio channel, or designated signal person authority.

Exclusion zone established and controlled
Barricades, spotters, or other controls prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the lift area.

Tag lines and load control methods available
Tag lines or other approved load control methods are available where needed to control rotation and swing.

Stop-work authority communicated
Crew understands that any worker may stop the lift if conditions change or a hazard is identified.
