Lift Plan Authorization

Documented lift plan is present, current, and approved by the responsible competent person or designated authority before crane setup begins.

Crane setup area is level within the tolerance specified by the manufacturer or lift plan.
Power lines, structures, plant equipment, and other obstructions are identified and controlled for the planned boom path and load path.

Communication, Exclusion Zone, and Final Sign-Off

Primary communication method is defined, including hand signals, radio channel, or designated signal person authority.
Barricades, spotters, or other controls prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the lift area.
Tag lines or other approved load control methods are available where needed to control rotation and swing.
Crew understands that any worker may stop the lift if conditions change or a hazard is identified.
Responsible supervisor or competent person authorizes the lift after all critical items are verified.
