Steps

Confirm the work area is free of obstacles and the approved food-contact sanitizer is mixed to the site-required concentration using a test strip. Record the sanitizer reading on the daily log before starting.
Inspect each part under good light for cracks, warping, missing pieces, or heavy residue. Remove any damaged part from service and record the issue in the log.
Submerge the nozzle and diffuser in approved sanitizer at the label-specified concentration and temperature, keeping the solution between 65–75°F when required by site procedure. Maintain the soak for 60–90 seconds or the sanitizer label contact time, whichever is longer.
Rinse the parts with potable water only when the sanitizer label or site procedure requires a rinse after contact time. Do not rinse when the label says no rinse is needed.
Place the parts on a clean towel or air-dry rack until they are dry to the touch and no visible moisture remains inside the nozzle or diffuser.
Reinstall the parts so they seat fully, align correctly, and do not wobble or leak when lightly checked by hand.
Run a brief flow check to confirm the nozzle sits secure, dispenses evenly, and shows no leaks. Record completion and any defects or replacements in the daily log.
