- Certificate of analysis is present for the received lot
- COA identifies supplier name, material name, and lot number
- COA is legible, complete, and signed or electronically authorized
- COA issue date is within the approved document validity period
- Reference document or specification used for review
Specification Review Against COA
- Basis weight, thickness, or caliper meets specification
- Dimensions or roll width meet specification
- Print, color, coating, or finish requirements meet specification
- Barrier, sealability, or performance attributes meet specification where applicable
- All COA test results reviewed are within acceptance criteria
Visual Condition and Handling
- No visible damage, contamination, moisture, or pest evidence
- Packaging materials are stored in a clean, dry, and protected area
- Incoming packaging is protected from mix-up or damage during handling
Disposition and Release Authorization
- Disposition decision recorded
- Non-conformance or deviation documented when applicable
- Inspector signature
