Mold Identification and Setup
- Mold ID matches the production order and setup sheet
- Mold is fully seated and aligned in the press
- All locating rings, dowels, and support points are engaged
- Mold surfaces are clean and free of debris, rust, and residue
Cooling Lines and Water Connections
- Cooling lines are connected to the correct inlets and outlets
- Hoses and fittings are secure with no kinks, abrasion, or strain
- No visible water leaks at mold, hose, manifold, or quick-connect points
- Cooling flow is established and within the expected operating range
Clamps, Fasteners, and Hardware
- All clamps are installed, tight, and properly positioned
- Bolts, screws, and retaining hardware are present and secure
- No loose hardware, missing fasteners, or visible damage is present
- Clamp area is clear of obstructions and pinch hazards
Ejector System
- Ejector pins, plates, and return mechanisms move freely without binding
- Ejector stroke and return position are correct for the setup
- No visible damage, galling, or excessive wear on ejector components
- Ejector safety interlocks and machine settings are confirmed per setup sheet
Final Pre-Run Readiness
- All identified deficiencies have been corrected or escalated
- Work area is clear, dry, and free of trip or slip hazards
- Machine, mold, and startup parameters are approved for production start
- Inspector sign-off completed
