Inspection Identification

• Appliance model and serial number recorded
  Record the appliance model, serial number, and internal unit identifier.
• Control board part number and revision recorded
  Record the control board part number, hardware revision, and any visible board identifier.
• Firmware version identified
  Record the installed firmware version or software build identifier before testing.

Test Setup and Preconditions

• Power source and test bench verified safe and stable
  Confirm the appliance is connected to the correct rated power source and the test area is stable and clear.
• Lockout-tagout applied where required
  Confirm lockout-tagout or equivalent energy control is applied when the test requires access to energized or exposed components per OSHA 1910.147.
• Required PPE in use
  Select all PPE used during the test.
• Reference procedure available at point of use
  Confirm the applicable SOP, wiring diagram, or test procedure is available to the inspector.

Control Board Inputs and User Interface

• Power button responds correctly
  Verify the power button turns the unit on and off as intended.
• Each speed setting responds to selection
  Cycle through each available speed setting and confirm the board accepts the command and displays or actuates the expected response.
• Each program or cycle responds to selection
  Select each available program, cycle, or mode and confirm the control board initiates the correct response.
• All buttons and touch inputs register properly
  Verify each button, membrane switch, or touch input registers once per actuation without sticking, double-triggering, or missed input.
• Indicator lights, display, or status messages operate correctly
  Confirm indicators, LEDs, display segments, and status messages match the selected function and state.

Functional Response and Safety Interlocks

• Motor, relay, valve, or output actuates as expected
  Verify the control board energizes the intended output and that the appliance response matches the selected command.
• Safety interlocks prevent unsafe operation
  Confirm any door switch, lid switch, thermal cutoff, or other interlock prevents operation when the unsafe condition is present.
• No abnormal noise, odor, arcing, or overheating observed
  Inspect during operation for abnormal noise, burning odor, visible arcing, smoke, or overheating at the board or connectors.
• Measured resistance or continuity checks completed where applicable
  If the procedure requires electrical verification, confirm resistance and continuity checks were completed with acceptable results using a multimeter.

Results, Deficiencies, and Disposition

• Deficiencies or non-conformances documented
  Record any failed function, intermittent response, unexpected behavior, or out-of-spec result.
• Corrective action or rework recorded
  Document the corrective action taken or required, including replacement parts, retest needs, or escalation to engineering.
• Unit released for enclosure close-up
  Confirm the control board passed functional testing and is approved for enclosure close-up.
