• Store location / remodel area identified
• Inspector identified as competent person or designated lead
• General contractor / remodel supervisor on site
• Daily pre-shift safety briefing completed

Customer Barrier Integrity and Access Control

• Physical barriers fully enclose the active remodel zone
• Barrier panels, fencing, or stanchions are stable and undamaged
• Openings in barriers are closed or actively controlled
• Warning signage is visible to customers at all approach points
• Customer walking path remains clear and separated from work traffic
• Temporary floor transitions or ramps are secure and trip-free

Contractor Sign-In and Site Authorization

• Contractor sign-in log is present and current
• All contractors on site are listed on the sign-in log
• Each contractor has verified site authorization or badge
• Visitor or delivery access is controlled and escorted as required

Work Area Housekeeping and Debris Control

• Debris, scrap, and packaging are removed from customer-adjacent areas
• Tools and materials are stored inside the controlled work zone
• Aisles, exits, and emergency routes remain unobstructed
• Spills, dust, or wet surfaces are cleaned or controlled

Fire-Life-Safety and Temporary Hazard Controls

• Fire extinguishers remain accessible and not blocked by remodel materials
• Emergency exits and exit signage are visible and unobstructed
• Temporary electrical cords and power tools are protected from damage
• No hot work or ignition sources are present without controls and authorization
