• Weather and recent rainfall conditions noted
• Reference plan, SWPPP, or erosion control drawing available

Installed BMP Inventory

• Silt fence installed at planned locations
• Inlet protection installed at designated storm drain inlets
• Other BMPs installed as required
• Installed BMP count recorded

Location and Coverage Verification

• Installation locations match site plan
• Upslope and downslope areas adequately protected
• Drainage paths and concentrated flow areas addressed
• Areas of bare soil or disturbance left unprotected

Installation Quality and Condition

• BMPs installed per manufacturer and plan requirements
• Anchoring, trenching, and fastening are adequate
• No visible gaps, bypasses, or undermining at installed controls
• Installed controls are free of damage and ready for service

Deficiencies and Corrective Actions

• Deficiencies identified and documented
• Corrective actions assigned with responsible party and due date
• Follow-up inspection required
