- Devices are correctly identified by circuit and function where required
- Tamper-resistant, weather-resistant, or specialty devices match the specified location and application
Cover Plates and Finish
- Cover plates installed on all completed devices
- Cover plates are secure, uncracked, and properly sized for the device opening
- Openings, gaps, or unfinished penetrations around devices are sealed or corrected
- Finished surfaces around devices are free of visible damage caused during installation
Luminaires and Lighting Controls
- Luminaires are mounted securely and aligned per design intent
- Luminaires are free of visible damage, missing parts, or improper field modifications
- Lamps, trim rings, lenses, and diffusers are installed correctly
- Lighting controls, dimmers, occupancy sensors, and switches operate as intended
Panel Directory and Circuit Identification
- Panel directory is complete, legible, and matches actual circuit loads
- Circuit labels are permanent, specific, and not handwritten in a temporary manner unless approved
- Panel cover, deadfront, and directory area are clean, intact, and properly reinstalled
GFCI and AFCI Function Tests
- GFCI devices trip and reset properly using the test function
- AFCI devices trip and reset properly using the test function
