Brick Setting Machine Pre-Operation Inspection

Inspection Setup and Authorization

• Machine identification and inspection date recorded
• Pre-operation inspection performed by authorized operator or competent person
• Area is clear of unauthorized personnel before startup

Safety Devices and Guarding

• Emergency stop buttons are present, accessible, and functional
• All required guards, interlocks, and light curtains are in place and not bypassed
• Lockout-tagout devices have been removed only after verification and authorization
• Safety labels, warning signs, and beacon/alarm indicators are visible and operational

Mechanical Condition

• Grippers are secure, undamaged, and free of excessive wear
• Vacuum cups, hoses, and seals are intact with no visible leaks or damage
• Mechanical joints, fasteners, and end effector mounting points are secure
• No abnormal wear, loose parts, or obstructions are present in the travel path

Electrical, Pneumatic, and Vacuum Systems

• Electrical cords, connectors, and control cabinet are intact with no exposed conductors
• Air supply pressure is within the manufacturer’s acceptable operating range
• Vacuum level is within the manufacturer’s acceptable operating range
• Pneumatic lines, fittings, and regulators show no leaks, kinks, or damage

Controls, Program, and Test Run

• Correct production program or recipe is selected for the current brick size and pattern
• Teach pendant, HMI, and control buttons respond normally
• Dry cycle or first-piece test run completed without alarm, fault, or mispick

Work Area and Release

• Floor, access path, and kiln car loading area are free of debris, slip hazards, and obstructions
• PPE required for startup and operation is available and worn
• Machine is released for operation
