Brick Efflorescence Test Log (ASTM C67)

Inspection template for documenting efflorescence test results and rating on sampled brick at the place of manufacture in accordance with ASTM C67, including acceptance when a specifier invokes a not effloresced requirement.

Inspection Identification

• Project or specification reference recorded
  Enter the project name, purchase order, specification section, or submittal reference tied to the efflorescence requirement.
• Brick manufacturer and plant location recorded
  Identify the place of manufacture where the sampled brick was tested.
• Brick product name, series, or unit type recorded
  Record the specific brick product or unit designation.
• Sample lot, batch, or production date recorded
  Record traceability information for the sampled brick lot or batch.

ASTM C67 Test Setup

• Test method identified as ASTM C67
  Confirm the efflorescence evaluation was performed under ASTM C67.
• Specimen count recorded
  Enter the number of brick specimens evaluated.
• Conditioning or exposure details recorded
  Document the conditioning, exposure, or test sequence used before rating efflorescence.
• Test date recorded
  Record the date and time the efflorescence evaluation was completed.

Efflorescence Observation and Rating

• Efflorescence visible on specimen surface
  Indicate whether visible efflorescence was observed on any sampled brick.
• Efflorescence rating assigned
  Select the observed rating for the sampled brick.
• Observed salt deposit characteristics documented
  Describe the appearance, extent, and location of any visible salt deposits or discoloration.
• Photo evidence captured
  Attach representative photos of the specimen surface and any visible efflorescence.

Acceptance and Disposition

• Meets not effloresced requirement
  Confirm whether the observed rating satisfies the project specification when a not effloresced requirement is invoked.
• Non-conformance documented when applicable
  If the specimen does not meet the requirement, document the non-conformance and disposition.
• Disposition selected
  Select the disposition for the tested lot or sample.

• Inspector name and title
  Enter the name and role of the person completing the log.
• Inspector signature
  Signature confirming the accuracy of the recorded ASTM C67 efflorescence results.
