Audit Scope and Setup

- Required records are available for review
Expired Product Identification
- Pulled product matches the approved expiry-date pull list or exception report
- Each pulled item is clearly labeled with product name, lot/batch, and expiration date
- Expired product is physically segregated from saleable inventory
- Segregation method is effective and prevents commingling
- Quantity of pulled product verified against the pull record
Disposition Handling
- Disposition decision is documented for each lot or SKU
- Disposition route is authorized and matches the approved business rule
- Disposition approval is signed or electronically authorized by the designated approver
- Destroyed or scrapped product is rendered unusable before final disposal
- Disposal or destruction vendor, if used, is identified in the record
Vendor Returns and Donation Handling
- Vendor return authorization (RMA) exists before product is released for return
- Returned product is packaged and labeled to prevent mix-up during transit
- Donation recipient is approved and documented before release
- Donation records include product description, quantity, lot/batch, and release date
Traceability, Documentation, and Compliance
- Inventory system reflects the pull, hold, or disposition status accurately
- All affected lots or SKUs can be traced from receipt to final disposition
- Exceptions, discrepancies, or non-conformances are documented with corrective action owner and due date
- Housekeeping and storage conditions do not create a contamination, trip, or fire hazard
