Capacity Placards and Load Information

• Capacity placards present at each rack bay or visible access point
• Placards legible and not obscured by product or damage
• Posted load capacity matches current rack configuration
• No evidence of overloading or mixed storage beyond posted limits

Structural Condition

• Uprights are plumb and free of visible deformation
• Beams show no cracking, bending, twisting, or disengaged connectors
• No visible weld failure, torn metal, or fractured components
• No corrosion, rust-through, or material loss affecting load-bearing members
• Previous repairs or modifications are documented and appear engineered/approved

Anchoring, Bracing, and Floor Condition

• Uprights are anchored to the floor as required
• Anchor bolts are present, tight, and not visibly damaged or missing
• Bracing members are intact and free of impact damage
• Floor slab at rack base is level, intact, and free of cracking or spalling that affects anchorage
• Base plates and shims are properly installed and not displaced

Safety Accessories and Operating Conditions

• Column guards, end-of-aisle protection, or impact barriers are installed where required
• Decking, wire mesh, or pallet supports are secure and undamaged
• Aisles adjacent to racks are clear of obstructions and allow safe access
• Stored product is stable and properly positioned on pallets or supports

Engineer Findings and Signoff

• Deficiencies documented with location and severity
• Corrective actions and target completion dates assigned
• Rack system approved for continued use
• Engineer signature
