Storage Tanks and Containers

• Tank exterior free of leaks, drips, or staining
  Inspect tank shell, seams, nozzles, and fittings for visible leakage or residue.
• Tank surfaces free of significant corrosion, bulging, or physical damage
• Tank labels, identification, and contents markings legible
• Tank fill ports, vents, and caps secure and in good condition
• Tank supports, saddles, or foundations intact and stable
• Visible product level or overfill condition within safe operating range

Piping, Valves, and Transfer Equipment

• Piping free of leaks, wet spots, or active drips
• Piping supports, hangers, and restraints intact
• Valves, flanges, couplings, and fittings show no visible seepage or damage
• Flexible hoses and transfer connections in good condition
• Valve positions and lockout controls match normal operating condition
  Verify valves are correctly positioned and secured to prevent unintended discharge.

Secondary Containment and Drainage Controls

• Containment walls, berms, or dikes intact and free of cracks or breaches
• Containment area free of standing oil, sheen, or unapproved materials
• Drain valves, plugs, and closures secured in the closed position when not in use
• Stormwater drains, sumps, and outfalls protected from unauthorized discharge
• Containment freeboard or available capacity adequate for expected rainfall or release

Housekeeping, Spill Response, and Documentation

• Absorbents, spill kits, and response materials present and accessible
• Area free of debris, trash, and combustible accumulation around oil-handling equipment
• Any observed spill, leak, or deficiency documented with location and description
• Corrective actions assigned for each deficiency
• Inspector signature completed
