• Reference standard or site procedure noted
  Record the applicable site procedure, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.37 / 1910.303 as applicable, and NFPA 101 or local AHJ requirements used for the test.

Exit Sign Identification and Location

• Exit sign location and unique identifier verified
• Exit sign is positioned to direct occupants to the nearest exit path
• Sign face is visible from the intended egress approach
• Sign lens, legend, and housing are intact and legible
• Obstructions do not block the sign from normal viewing distance

Battery and Power Source

• Normal power indicator shows the unit is energized
• Battery compartment, wiring, and connections are secure and free of visible damage
• Battery age or last replacement date recorded
• Battery condition at time of inspection
• Any signs of corrosion, leakage, overheating, or swelling

Functional Discharge Test

• Test start time recorded
• Battery test initiated successfully
• Exit sign remained illuminated for the required test duration
• Observed illumination duration
• Test end time recorded
