• Panel or service equipment rating is visible and legible
• Panel rating is adequate for the planned work
• Equipment shows no visible signs of overheating, damage, or corrosion
• Main disconnect location identified
• Circuit directory or labeling is present and readable

Lockout/Tagout and Energy Control

• Energy sources identified before work begins
• Lockout/tagout devices available and in good condition
• Isolation points identified and verified
• Stored energy release or verification steps completed as required
• Temporary re-energization risk discussed and controlled

Circuit Identification and Verification

• Circuit directory matches observed equipment and loads
• Target circuit(s) positively identified before work starts
• Voltage and circuit status verified with appropriate test equipment
• Test equipment is rated for the system voltage and inspected before use

Customer Briefing and Sign-Off

• Customer or site representative briefed on planned work and expected impacts
• Customer informed of shutdowns, access needs, and safety precautions
• Special instructions, restrictions, or AHJ requirements documented
• Customer or authorized representative signature obtained
