Inspection Details and Site Identification

• Inspection date and time recorded
• BESS site, asset ID, and location identified
• Inspector name and competency documented
• Work scope and inspection type selected
• Reference procedure or SOP available

Battery Cells and Enclosure Condition

• No visible swelling, leakage, corrosion, or physical damage on battery modules/cells
• Battery enclosure doors, panels, and seals intact and properly secured
• Signs of overheating, discoloration, odor, or abnormal residue absent
• Module spacing, mounting, and rack condition free of obstruction or looseness
• Battery management system alarms or fault indicators present

Power Conversion and Electrical Safety

• Power conversion system (PCS) status normal with no active critical alarms
• Visible signs of overheating, arcing, damaged conductors, or loose terminations absent
• Disconnects, labeling, and access to emergency shutoff are unobstructed and legible
• Grounding and bonding connections appear intact and secure

Thermal Management and HVAC

• Ambient temperature within OEM acceptable range
• Humidity within OEM acceptable range
• HVAC units operating normally with no active fault or loss of airflow
• Air intakes, filters, vents, and exhaust paths unobstructed and clean

Fire Detection, Suppression, and Emergency Readiness

• Fire detection system status normal with no active trouble or supervisory alarms
• Smoke, heat, gas, or off-gas detection devices unobstructed and visibly intact
• Fire suppression equipment accessible and inspection status current
• Emergency contact, alarm, and AHJ notification instructions posted and legible

Housekeeping, Access, and Corrective Actions

• Access aisles, egress routes, and equipment clearances are unobstructed
• Housekeeping free of combustible debris, liquid spills, and stored materials near equipment
• Deficiencies, non-conformances, and corrective actions documented
