Walk-Around Structural Check
- No visible structural damage, cracks, bends, or missing fasteners
- No hydraulic, fuel, or battery fluid leaks present
- Platform gate, guardrails, and toe boards secure and undamaged
- Tires, wheels, and lug nuts in safe condition
- Outriggers or stabilizers free of damage and ready to deploy
Controls and Functional Test
- Emergency stop functions correctly at ground and platform controls
- All movement controls operate smoothly and return to neutral
- Horn or audible warning device operates properly
- Level switch / tilt alarm functions correctly
- Upper and lower controls respond as intended
- Emergency lowering device operates correctly
Safety Devices and Operating Readiness
- Safety decals, capacity placards, and operating instructions are legible
- Platform load capacity is known and will not be exceeded
- Battery charge or fuel level is sufficient for planned work
- Work area is clear of overhead obstructions and ground hazards
Deficiencies and Release
- Deficiencies documented with corrective action
- Lift tagged out of service if any critical item failed
- Inspector signature
