Payroll Connect integrates MangoApps with your existing payroll system. Sync employees, submit approved timesheets, import paychecks for employee self-service, and track compensation changes. Built-in connectors for ADP Workforce Now, Workday HCM, Gusto, BambooHR, Paychex, and MangoPay, plus a custom API connector. Use Payroll Connect when you already have a payroll provider; use Payroll Processing instead to run payroll in-house inside MangoApps.

Payroll Connect includes built-in connectors for ADP Workforce Now, Workday HCM, Gusto, Paychex, and BambooHR. You can also connect a custom provider through a configurable API connector, or use the Merge.dev partner connector for additional HRIS systems. MangoPay is included only as a demonstration/sandbox provider with sample data for evaluating the app.

Payroll Connect is two-way. It imports employee records and paychecks from the connected provider, and it pushes approved timesheets and compensation changes out to the provider. Note that compensation pushes and paycheck imports vary by provider — for example, BambooHR has no paycheck API, and the Merge.dev partner path treats employment records as read-only.

During setup you configure field-level mappings and employee-ID matching, with auto-mapping available on the initial connection. You can preview the provider's data before importing, and new hires discovered from the provider land in an import-request queue where an admin approves or rejects them before a MangoApps user is created.

Yes, on mobile. Once paychecks are imported, employees view their own pay history — earnings, deductions, net pay, and a downloadable PDF pay stub. The web paycheck console is for admins and HR, who can see paychecks across the organization.

Paycheck and salary reveals are admin/HR-gated and audited. Viewing pay amounts or salary data on the web requires a recently re-verified (step-up) session, so a logged-in admin must re-confirm before sensitive figures are shown.

Every sync is logged with start/completed/failed status, the dashboard shows each connection's 7-day success rate and overdue syncs, and admins receive a sync-error email. You can re-test a connection or re-trigger a sync from the dashboard. Failed timesheet submissions are flagged for manual re-submission rather than retried automatically.

Payroll Connect requires a license and is opt-in per tenant — an administrator enables it for your business from the Apps Marketplace. It is disabled by default until then. You also need an active subscription to a supported payroll provider (or a custom API endpoint) to connect.

Payroll Connect integrates with an external payroll provider (ADP, Workday, Gusto, Paychex, BambooHR, etc.) to sync data and surface paychecks — it does not run payroll. Payroll Processing (a separate app) runs payroll in-house inside MangoApps, calculating deductions and taxes and issuing pay. Choose Payroll Connect if you already have a payroll system; choose Payroll Processing to have MangoApps run payroll for you.
