FAQ

Yes. Alongside the plain-English Ask AI path, the Report Agent app includes a visual builder where you point-and-click columns, metrics, and grouping. It suggests columns from a written description, auto-populates filter dropdowns from your own data, auto-selects a fitting chart (bar, line, pie, doughnut, area), and shows a live preview before you save.

No. Describe what you want in plain English. The agent interprets your request, picks the right data source, builds the query, and can even auto-correct itself if the first attempt doesn't validate.

Over 20 native Workforce domains, including employees and departments, attendance and timekeeping, shifts and scheduling, performance reviews, OKRs, competencies, succession, feedback, compensation and merit, leave and PTO, training, recruiting (candidates and jobs), onboarding, promotions, Service Desk tickets, and assets. Procurement (purchase orders and requisitions) is available when an admin turns it on. Each domain can be toggled on or off in settings. External or third-party data sources are not supported.

Yes. Say "filter for active only" or "group by location instead" and the agent modifies the existing report without starting from scratch. In the builder you can also adjust columns, filters, and chart type directly.

Yes. Any saved report can run on a recurring schedule — daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly — and be emailed to recipients, POSTed to a webhook, or generated for download only, in CSV, Excel, PDF, or JSON. A schedule can be triggered immediately or enabled and disabled without deleting it. SFTP delivery is not yet available.

CSV, Excel-compatible spreadsheet (opens directly in Excel), formatted PDF, and JSON for API use. Admins can enable or disable each format in settings; JSON is always available.

Access is role-based. Managers, admins, and super admins (plus users granted app-admin for this app) can generate and manage reports. Sensitive domains such as compensation and performance apply their own additional access checks, and reports respect private / shared / public visibility.

Queries return up to 10,000 rows. Ask AI previews 5–50 rows (admin-configurable), and each user can save up to 50 reports by default (admins can raise, lower, or make it unlimited).

The Report Agent requires a license and is opt-in per tenant on the Standard platform tier — an administrator enables it from the Apps Marketplace. It is disabled by default until then. Contact your MangoApps administrator about enabling it for your organization.
