Break Compliance Enforcement — Meal and rest break law enforcement for hourly workforces
State meal and rest break requirements are now enforced in real time. Schedulers see a warning when a proposed shift would violate statutory break minimums for the employee's work location, and employees receive a break attestation prompt at the end of each shift to confirm they received their required breaks. A new Break Compliance report gives supervisors and HR a cross-shift view of who was owed breaks, who waived them, and where gaps exist — organized by work location and jurisdiction. The rule engine supports complex multi-period schedules (including Washington's August 2026 standards), waivable meal periods, and rest break intervals, and reconciles both the tenant's own break policy and the applicable state statute to enforce whichever is stricter.
Use case: A multi-site operator in Washington and California can open the Break Compliance report, filter by location and date range, and immediately see which shifts produced a missed or waived break — without exporting to a spreadsheet.

Visit Log Redesign — Regulatory visit register with cross-site deficiency reporting
The Visit Log is rebuilt around its core use: a compliance tracking and reporting register for regulatory survey visits. The list view now offers a Visits/Deficiencies lens toggle — the Visits view is the running register of every filed survey, while the Deficiencies lens surfaces all findings across all visits in a single flat table, grouped by owner, with its own CSV export. Filter-aware stat cards land on exactly the record set they count, and a single filter bar with removable chips replaces the previous tab-and-dropdown arrangement. The import queue is now live — inspection payloads appear in real time via Turbo Streams as they arrive, and a bulk "File all ready" action processes stored payloads in one click. On the detail page, a summary band replaces the three-card header and five-step progress stepper; each finding row expands in place to show the full citation text, corrective actions with inline edit drawers, and a per-deficiency notes composer. AI extraction now populates the finding subject field on all four submission paths.
Use case: A regional compliance director for a senior-living operator opens the Deficiencies lens, filters to the past 90 days across their 12 communities, and reviews every outstanding corrective action by responsible owner — without needing to open each visit individually.

Jurisdiction-Scoped Leave Types — Location-specific leave types for multi-state and multi-country employers
Leave types can now be restricted to specific jurisdictions, so employees in each location only see the leave options that apply to them under local law. HR administrators assign a leave type to one or more jurisdictions using a new availability matrix in the leave type editor — a leave type with no jurisdiction restriction remains available everywhere, preserving existing behavior. When an employee submits a leave request, the system validates jurisdiction eligibility at the point of request, preventing employees from selecting leave types they are not entitled to. A new Leave Available Types service provides a single resolution path that accounts for the employee's work location, assigned jurisdictions, and applicable leave rules — replacing a pattern of direct unfiltered queries scattered across the codebase.
Use case: An HR team managing employees across Washington, California, and the UK configures state-specific paid family leave types to appear only for employees whose primary work location maps to those jurisdictions, while company-wide PTO remains visible to everyone.
