FAQ
Broadcasts are formal, acknowledgment-tracked announcements with rich media, comments, reactions, and detailed analytics — ideal for policy updates and company news. Emergency Alerts are stripped-down, multi-channel dispatches for urgent situations, with "I'm safe" / "Need help" muster roll-call and live per-channel delivery rollups. Both share one audience picker and both live in this app.
Broadcasts & Alerts is for targeted, acknowledgment-tracked messages that must reach specific people now across in-app, email, push, SMS, voice, and digital signage. The News Feed is the always-on social company feed for posts and discussion that people browse. Comms Hub is the planning layer — audiences, approval workflows, and campaigns — and Broadcasts routes its approvals and audiences through it rather than replacing it.
In-app, email, and mobile push for every message; SMS and automated voice calls for critical broadcasts and emergency alerts; and digital signage for emergency alerts when the Signage integration is connected. Critical messages can escalate across channels (in-app → SMS → voice), or you can skip the cascade and send everything at once.
Yes. Turn on acknowledgment to require recipients to confirm they've read the message. The compliance view rolls up acknowledgments by department and location, lists outstanding (unacknowledged) recipients, and exports the full breakdown to CSV for audit. Reminders keep going out — and can auto-widen from email to SMS to voice — until each person confirms.
Send to the whole organization or filter by department, location, or role. You can multi-select saved recipient groups, add specific individuals on top, and bulk-add people by pasting a list or importing a CSV. A live reach count updates as you build the audience, and the recipient list is snapshotted at publish time.
Yes. AI can draft a broadcast from a one-line brief, rewrite or re-tone existing copy, generate channel-native versions for SMS, push, and voice, suggest subject-line variants, and create a hero image. It can also translate the message per recipient's language — preview, edit, and save translations, with stale-translation flags when you edit the source. Admins can turn all AI assists off.
Yes. Set a future date and time, or make it recurring (daily, weekdays, weekly, or monthly). You can also enable a weekly AI-drafted check-in that prepares a routine message for review when a tenant has gone quiet — it never sends on its own.
A broadcast supports up to 10 media items; an emergency alert up to 4. Images and PDFs are capped at 10 MB, and video at 100 MB for broadcasts (50 MB for alerts). Accepted image formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF — HEIC/HEIF photos captured on phones are auto-converted to JPEG so they render everywhere.
Broadcasts & Alerts is included with MangoApps Workforce and is enabled per tenant — an administrator turns it on for your business from the Apps Marketplace before it appears for your team.
