Playbooks — AI Workflow Builder — build and automate multi-step AI workflows without code

Playbooks is a new capability inside MangoApps that lets platform admins design end-to-end AI-driven automation workflows using a visual step builder. Each playbook defines a sequence of agent actions, the inputs required to start a run, and optional trigger conditions that fire the workflow automatically on a schedule or in response to platform events. Every execution is logged in a run history view — showing step-by-step status, outputs, and errors — so teams have a full audit trail without digging through logs.

The built-in AI authoring assistant can draft an entire playbook from a plain-language description, then refine or analyze individual steps on request. Playbooks can also be cloned from a system template library, giving teams a head start on common automation patterns.

Use case: An HR operations manager describes a new-hire onboarding workflow in plain English — the AI assistant scaffolds the steps, the admin adjusts the input form and trigger, and the playbook begins running automatically the next time a new employee record is created.

Emergency Alert Scenario Templates — pre-built templates for faster emergency alert dispatch

When composing a new emergency alert, communicators can now select from a growing library of curated scenario templates — covering situations like severe weather, facility lockdowns, IT outages, and evacuation orders. Each template pre-fills the alert body, recommended delivery channels, and audience targeting, so coordinators can review and dispatch in seconds rather than drafting from scratch under pressure. These templates are also browsable and cloneable in the Template Studio under Communications Templates.

Previously, scenario suggestions existed only as hardcoded options inside the composer with no way to manage or extend them. The templates are now stored in the platform's database, making them searchable, versioned, and available to the AI admin agent for assisted dispatch.

Use case: A safety coordinator responding to a gas leak selects the "Facility Evacuation" scenario template, adjusts the affected building, and dispatches a pre-composed, audience-targeted alert in under a minute.
