Inspections App — digital inspection management with AI checklists, GPS capture, and compliance reporting
Teams conducting field inspections — safety walkthroughs, equipment checks, facility audits — have traditionally relied on paper forms or disconnected spreadsheets, making it difficult to track findings, enforce corrective actions, and demonstrate compliance. The new Inspections app brings the full inspection lifecycle into one place: build templates, conduct inspections in the field, track issues to resolution, and report on compliance status — all from a single platform.
Key capabilities include:
- AI-generated checklists — describe what you need to inspect and the platform generates a structured checklist, which teams can then refine and publish as a reusable template.
- GPS capture and photo annotations — inspectors can capture their location at the time of each finding and attach annotated photos directly to inspection items, creating a clear, defensible record.
- AssetPro integration — inspections can be linked to specific assets managed in AssetPro, with category-level requirements that ensure the right checklist is used for each asset type.
- Corrective actions — failed items automatically generate corrective action tasks, assigned to the right person with due dates, status tracking, and overdue alerts.
- Compliance reports and dashboards — generate PDF inspection reports and view a compliance dashboard that surfaces pass/fail rates, open findings, and trends over time.
- Recurring inspection schedules — schedule inspections to recur at set intervals by location or asset, with automated reminders sent to assigned inspectors before each due date.
- QR/barcode Quick Scan — field workers can scan an asset's QR code or barcode to immediately pull up the correct inspection template for that asset, reducing setup time in the field.
- Offline sync — inspections can be started, completed, and saved without an active internet connection, with data syncing automatically when connectivity is restored — essential for facilities, warehouses, and remote sites.
Use case: A facilities manager schedules weekly fire safety inspections across three locations. Inspectors use the mobile app to complete checklists on-site, photograph any issues, and flag them as corrective actions — all without paperwork. The manager reviews the compliance dashboard to confirm all locations are inspection-ready before a regulatory audit.
