Smarter Communication Tools To Reach and Engage Every Employee - MangoApps 19.1 Release Deep Dive

September 17, 2025

The Challenge of Workforce Communication

Internal communication is one of the hardest problems to solve in large organizations. Employees are bombarded with messages from countless channels, yet still miss the updates that matter most. Frontline teams often don’t get the same access to messages that desk-based employees see daily, leaving them disconnected from company news, recognitions, and urgent alerts. For comms teams, the tools to plan, target, and measure messages have lagged far behind the polished systems used by marketing.

With MangoApps 19.1, we’re changing that. This release gives organizations newsroom-grade communication capabilities designed specifically for the workforce. From a smarter planning calendar to AI-powered translations and expanded delivery channels like digital signage, MangoApps makes sure every employee — whether on the factory floor, in the field, or at corporate headquarters — receives messages that are clear, timely, and relevant.

New Editorial Calendar: Intentional Communication at Scale

One of the biggest challenges for comms teams is managing volume and timing. The new Posts Planning Calendar provides an editorial-style view that gives teams full visibility into upcoming and past posts. Teams can also capture post ideas directly in the calendar, then convert those ideas into drafts, refine them, and schedule for publishing. Key features include:

  • Capture and log ideas for posts and seamlessly convert them into drafts.
  • Drag-and-drop scheduling to quickly arrange or reschedule posts.
  • Easy rescheduling for shifting timelines without losing visibility.
  • Management of unplanned or overdue content in a single view.
  • Audience overload warnings when too many updates target the same group, helping prevent fatigue and ensuring important messages are not lost in the noise.

For comms leaders, this means a centralized view of all planned communication and the ability to adjust in real time. For employees, it translates to fewer interruptions and a more balanced communication flow. Campaigns become intentional, not accidental, and employees are more likely to engage with messages delivered at the right time and in the right place.

Enhanced Digital Signage Support to Keep Frontline Employees in the Loop

Not every employee sits at a desk or checks an inbox regularly. MangoApps has long supported digital signage, with integrations into many of the most common providers already in place. What’s new in this release are enhancements to digital signage that give admins more control and deliver a more polished, engaging experience. Organizations can now extend MangoApps content into physical spaces like break rooms, lobbies, or factory floors with greater flexibility.

Key updates include:

  • More content flexibility with the ability to pull in a wider mix of posts and images, keeping signage fresh and relevant.
  • Smarter admin controls that let teams filter by category, adjust how much detail is shown, and fine-tune font sizes for readability.
  • Stronger branding options with configurable headers and footers that ensure signage always reflects company identity.
  • Cleaner layouts through a redesigned split-screen format that balances text and visuals, with automatic adjustments that keep the look polished.
  • Recognition displays that allow multiple employees to be highlighted at once, making team wins more visible and meaningful.

For frontline workers, these changes mean they see curated, timely, and visually engaging updates in the flow of their day. From safety alerts to recognition and company news, all without needing to log in. This closes the communication gap that has long existed between desk-based and deskless employees.

AI-Assisted Communication: Clear, Inclusive, and Actionable

Workforces today are global, diverse, and often split between desk and frontline roles, which makes consistency and clarity in communication a challenge. MangoApps 19.1 expands AI-assisted communication to ensure messages are not only accurate and inclusive but also interactive when needed.

Key enhancements include:

  • A new Do Not Translate option allows authors to mark specific words or phrases (such as internal terminology) to remain untranslated, ensuring accuracy across languages.
  • Post preview in multiple languages allows authors to preview posts (content and alert) in up to six languages before publishing.
  • With translated push notifications, employees can now automatically receive post notifications in their preferred language across web, mobile, and messenger apps.
  • Editable AI summaries give comms teams the option to auto-generate a short summary with AI (up to 500 characters) and then refine or edit it before publishing, ensuring clarity in feeds and widgets while keeping control in the hands of the author.
  • Critical alerts can now include optional poll questions with full customization of answers, style, results display, and close dates. Ideal for safety checks, crisis response, or rapid feedback.

User Experience Enhancements: Professional, Clear, and Easy to Navigate

This release includes a set of upgrades that make creating, formatting, and discovering information in MangoApps faster and more intuitive for both comms teams and employees:

  • Post design enhancements: New alignment options let authors control the position of text, images, and buttons in post blocks. Inline editing allows quick changes to titles, summaries, and button text directly in the editor. A new divider block can be customized with background colors, line styles, and thickness, while border colors give posts a branded frame on web and email. The post title character limit has also been increased from 100 to 200 characters, giving authors more room to communicate clearly.
  • Modern view for libraries: Libraries now display in a modern card layout with banner images and key details like governance status and item counts. Content is surfaced more efficiently on the new library details page, with images, videos, documents, and pages grouped by category. Each category supports Compact, Large, and Grid layouts with admin-defined sorting for consistent organization.
  • Upgraded wiki pages: Wikis now have a cleaner interface with faster loading times, simplified navigation, and smoother page transitions. The table of contents has been repositioned to the right for easier reference, and preview toggles are now quicker. Wikis open in an inline viewer when accessed from feeds, widgets, or search, eliminating the need to switch modules. Markdown support also ensures AI-generated content retains proper formatting.

Together, these user experience updates reduce friction for content creators and make it easier for employees to find, read, and act on the information that matters — whether it’s a frontline worker pulling up a quick reference guide or a desk-based employee navigating a library of resources.

Why MangoApps Is Different

Most communication tools in the workplace are retrofitted from email, chat, or marketing platforms. They weren’t built for the specific challenges of workforce communication. MangoApps is different. From frontline staff checking digital signage to corporate teams collaborating in the hub, MangoApps ensures communication is planned, delivered, and received with equal clarity.
