Confirm the assignment and its current reference
The crew leader or designated trained role identifies the current work area and the approved operational reference for it. This page explains how to route that question; it does not contain area-specific instructions. The illustrative labels below are not approved local materials.
Illustrative area-to-reference index
Fictional examples only. The named role must direct workers to the current, locally approved reference.
| Illustrative area | Ask the local role | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| North Row | Crew leader | Current assignment and applicable approved reference |
| Packing Area | Crew leader or designated trained role | Current assignment and applicable approved reference |
| Change between areas | Crew leader | Which area now applies and where its current reference is kept |
Worked coordination example
Confirm the handoff when the assignment changes.
Illustrative handoff
A change from North Row to Packing Area
A worker was initially told to report to North Row. The crew leader later redirects the worker to the Packing Area. The worker does not assume the earlier area's reference still applies.
- The worker asks, “I was assigned to North Row; am I now assigned to the Packing Area, and which current reference should I use?”
- The crew leader confirms the assignment and directs the worker to the applicable approved local reference.
- If the reference or handoff remains unclear, the worker asks the designated trained role before relying on it.
