Choose the route by scope and ownership

Start with the scope of the need. A need shared across schools may belong with a network service owner; a need shaped by one school's circumstances should start with that school's established responsible role. If both apply, include both roles and state what each needs to decide.

The categories below describe service families; they are summaries, not links or request forms. Use your organization's established service route when one is available.

Common staff support families

Illustrative categories for orientation; they do not define eligibility, policy, or a service destination.

People support

  • A staff question shared across the network may need the central people-service owner.
  • A school-specific staffing context belongs with that school's designated role.

Learning resources

  • Shared learning materials can be discussed with the network learning-resource owner.
  • A school's schedule or local practice should be explained by its responsible school role.

Facilities and campus operations

  • A recurring issue across sites may need network-level coordination.
  • A location-specific matter should begin with the school's established operations contact.

Technology and access

  • A common issue across schools may need a network service owner to compare patterns.
  • For an issue limited to one school, include the local role that can describe its context.

Apply the route to a coordination question

Use scope, impact, and decision ownership—not the name of a department alone.

Local first

One school is affected

A school reports that staff cannot find the current version of shared guidance on its local page. Start with that school's established site or operations contact, then involve the network guidance owner if the shared source or wording also needs attention.

  • Name the affected school.
  • Identify whether the problem is local access, local explanation, or the shared source itself.
Coordinate

Several schools report the same issue

When multiple schools describe the same gap, ask the network service owner to compare the pattern and coordinate a shared response, while retaining a local contact for school-specific constraints.

  • List the schools affected.
  • Separate the shared question from local differences.
