Find the approved reference for your work area
Cedar Grove Care Center is a fictional example. Start with the area assigned to you, then use its approved reference and training materials for the work at hand. This site helps you find those resources; it is not a cleaning protocol.
Choose your assigned area
Use the area named in your assignment or handoff to find the right resource set.
Resident and shared living areas
- Open the approved reference for the specific area assigned.
- Check the related training reference when your assignment calls for it.
Dining and common spaces
- Select the reference for the named dining or common space.
- Use the approved resource rather than relying on a reference for another area.
Staff and back-of-house areas
- Find the reference for the staff or support area in your assignment.
- Route an equipment or building issue through the facilities handoff described on Supplies and support.

Use the approved source for the assigned area
A useful reference is specific to the place and task in your assignment.
For example, a shift assignment names the east dining room. Find the approved east dining room reference and any linked training material before starting. Do not substitute a reference for a different area or infer procedure details from this site.
If the approved reference is missing, unclear, or does not match the assignment, pause that part of the work and ask the EVS lead or supervisor for the approved resource. If the question concerns clinical responsibility or infection-prevention guidance, the EVS lead routes it to the appropriate clinical or infection-prevention owner.
