Plan with observances in mind
Use calendar entries to inform planning—not to infer anyone's beliefs or availability.
A shared observance calendar can help event planners spot dates worth considering. An entry does not show that any particular colleague observes an occasion, needs time away, or is unavailable.
Northstar's calendar source, coverage, maintenance owner, and correction route must be confirmed before launch. The Calendar app shows its connected data; it does not establish individual beliefs or choices.
Use the calendar in planning
Practical planning examples, not a substitute for local requirements or individual support processes.
Check dates early
Review the shared Calendar before setting an event or recurring meeting.
- If a conflict appears, compare at least one reasonable alternative.
Offer participation options
Where practical, make it possible to review materials or contribute without attending at one specific time.
- Share relevant materials in advance when appropriate.
Ask without assumptions
Ask about scheduling constraints without asking colleagues to disclose personal beliefs.
- Use the confirmed private process for an individual accommodation question.

Verify uncertain entries
If coverage or an entry is uncertain, verify it with the designated calendar owner rather than treating it as complete.
