MangoApps content analytics is to provide visibility into the amount of content that is being created, the nature of that content and how it is used on the MangoApps domain.

The content analytics is divided into four parts:

Posts – It is the amount of content which is generated by the various activities done by the users on the MangoApps domain.

The various activities which counts as a post are as follows:

  • Status Updates
  • Create or edit a feed
  • Creating and updating a task
  • Ask and answer a question
  • Send a private message
  • Create a poll
  • Create an event
  • Create an idea
  • Create an idea campaign
  • Create a page
  • Create a wiki
  • Create a post
  • Upload a file

And so on…

When any of the above activities happen we increase the posts counts with a proprietary algorithm.

Note a deleted post doesn’t decrease the count.

Views – It is the amount of content viewed which is already generated by various activities done by users on the MangoApps domain.

If a content is viewed multiple times it is counted as many times as it is viewed.

Mark all as read will too increase the counts by the amount of unread activities.

Note a deleted post doesn’t decrease the count of views on the content.

Comments – It is the amount of content on which user comments which is already generated by various activities done by users on the MangoApps domain.

A deleted comment doesn’t decrease the count

Likes – It is the amount of content on which user likes which is already generated by various activities done by users on the MangoApps domain.

A deleted post or comment which is already liked doesn’t decrease the like count

All these activities are recorded real time, we may compare the two previous time periods or same time in last year to see increase in adoption.
