In simplest terms, static pages in MangoApps are those with content that cannot change without an page creator or admin editing the page while dynamic pages can display different content from across MangoApps updated dynamically without needing to edit the page.

When it comes to choosing between static or dynamic pages, what is important is the purpose each page serves for your colleagues.

Static pages

Static pages display the exact same information whenever anyone visits it. Static Web pages do not have to be simple plain text. They can feature detailed multimedia design and even videos. However, every visitor to that page will be greeted by the exact same text, multimedia design or video every time he visits the page until the page is altered manually.

Example, a static page could be information on the leadership team at your organization, these are pages are do not change more often and the information here is common for all users.

Dynamic Pages

Dynamic pages are capable of displaying different content to different colleagues based on the widgets configured. A dynamic page is not necessarily better than a static Web page. The two simply serve different purposes.

Example, “My Task Summary” widget would show different a different story to each user on your domain depending on the no. of tasks he/she has pending, completed or delegated.
