MangoApps Greetings module provides the tools to celebrate birthdays, life events & community milestones helping foster a sense of belonging at the workplace.

There are 10 pre-shipped categories to get started with. These 10 out-of-the-box ‘greeting categories’ that are designed for human connections at workplace. These categories include

  • Birthday
  • Congratulations
  • Get Well
  • Good Luck
  • Holidays
  • New Baby
  • Pregnancy
  • Sympathy
  • Thank You
  • Wedding

Domain admins can activate & de-activate any pre-shipped category but these pre-shipped categories can’t be deleted. They can easily be de-activated and the ‘Who can send greetings?’ setting can be edited.

To manage Greetings Category from the admin portal, follow the below steps:
1) Go to the Admin Portal from a Web Browser

2) Then to ‘ Modules> Greetings’ and select the ‘Manage Greetings’ tab.

3) Here you can select the respective Greetings category to edit it or deactivate it.

 

4) While editing the Greetings category, you can decide ‘Who can give Greeting from this Category’. You have the following options to choose from:

  • Anyone can give
  • Only domain admins & intranet admins can give
  • Only domain admins, intranet admins & a list of specific users

5) When a category is de-activated then all the greetings within the category will not be available for users to send. Admin-created categories can be edited, deleted and de-activated at anytime by the domain admins.

6) Domain admins can also sort through the categories by name, who can give and status columns to quickly get to a specific category

How to use 60+ pre-shipped greetings

MangoApps Greetings module ships with over 60+ out-of-the-box ‘greetings’ to get your users started easily. The greetings are divided across the 10 pre-shipped categories.

Pre-shipped greetings can be activated or de-activated by the domain admins but these pre-shipped greetings can’t be edited or deleted. When a greeting is de-activated then it will not be available for users to send. Domain admins can sort through the greetings by name and status columns to quickly get to a specific greeting.

 

To manage Greetings from the admin portal, follow the below steps:
1) Go to the Admin Portal from a Web Browser

2) Then to ‘ Modules> Greetings’ and select the ‘Manage Greetings’ tab.

3) Here you can select the respective Greetings category and edit a Greeting within this category

How to add your own custom categories & greetings

Domain admins can create their custom categories and upload their custom greetings. Custom categories & greetings can be edited, deleted and de-activated by domain admins at any time.

To add custom categories and custom greetings from the admin portal, follow the below steps:
1) Go to the Admin Portal from a Web Browser

2) Then to ‘Modules> Greetings’ and select the ‘Manage Categories’ tab.

3) Here click on ‘ Add new Category’ button, add the category name and select who can give greetings from the custom created category.

Possible values include:

  • Anyone can give
  • Only domain admins & intranet admins can give
  • Only domain admins, intranet admins & a list of specific users

4) Domain admins can then create or move custom greetings from one category to another at any time. Users only get to view and send the custom greetings that the domain admin has activated. Additionally, domain admins can enable for user to upload their own greeting or pick one from the media gallery. By default, this setting is turned ON.

How to send a greeting & view all greetings

Users can send a greeting from the compose button. Domain admins & network users can add the greetings module on their primary navigation.

Greetings module allows you to view all the greetings send in your company with options to filter them by category & time.

To send a Greeting to a team or a colleague, follow the below steps:

1) Click on the Universal ‘Compose’ button and click on the Greetings

2) Here, you can decide to select who you want to send the greeting to i.e. a colleague or a team, the category of the greeting and the specific greeting.

3) You can also enter a personalised message along with the predefined greetings.
