A post can be composed by network admin, company admin, network user or guest user in MangoApps. However the behavior of post differs based on the user rights.
By user rights posts can divided into two categories.
I) Posts by a network, company or team admin – If the admin selects ‘Everyone’ then the posts gets posted on the “Company page” and if the admin selects ‘Team’ then the posts gets posted on the respective “Team page” for which they are a member of.
II) Posts by a network user – The post by a network user will be a generic post which will be seen by all his/her follower or team members based on the selection made in by post composer., if allowed a network user can also make a post in a team they are a member of.
III)Posts by a team guest user – The post by a team guest user will be seen only by the team members.
Steps to compose a post
1. Click on “Compose”.
2. Click on “Write a post”.
3. Select Everyone or Team.
4. Add title to the post.
5. Add content to the post.
6. Click on “Switch to full page” to open a full page version of the compose box. Under full page, you can perform rich text formatting, add videos, links, pictures, categories or hashtags to the post.
6. Under the “Advanced Settings”, you can select following options:
a. Allow comments to be posted – Allow users to share comments on this post. If the post composer selects this, it allows other network or team members to add comments to the posts.
b. Mark it as a must read post (Applicable only for network, company, team admin or network user) Check this if your post contains information that you want everyone to read.
i. Acknowledgement required – If this is checked, users will be required to click on the post before they can view the message content. Acknowledgement report will be available on the post, listing the users who have read or yet to read the post.
c. Mark it as an announcement (Applicable only for network, company or team admin – NOT for network user) Check this if the post is an announcement. The announcement can have Expiry value “No Auto Expiry”, “Auto Expire On” or “Auto Expires After”.
7. Click on “Attach” to add an attachment if you want to attach a document to the post.
8. You can “Submit the Post” or “Save the post as Draft” for future edits.
