Custom fields helps users see the big picture or an eagle eye view through information that is visible across groups and projects. Customizable views keep everyone on the same page. Group & Project admins are able to track better project item information, core schedule data, metrics and all that matters with custom fields. The key benefit of this is the amount of time you’ll save switching between different views or asking for status updates, with greater visibility, day-to-day work becomes more transparent, efficient and manageable. No matter what peculiarities a team or project brings, users now have the tools to adapt fluidly to dynamic settings and situations.

Five new Custom Field formats are available for more accurate Groups and Project Tracking;

  • Single Line Text
    A text box for a single line (short) of descriptive text.
  • Multiple Line Text
    A text box for multiple lines of descriptive text.
  • Multiple Choices (Multiple Selections)
    Define choices for the user from which more than one can be chosen.
  • Multiple Choices (Single Selection)
    Define choices for the user from which only one can be chosen.
  • Calendar Look up
    A named date field where the user chooses a date from the calendar.

To configure/create custom fields

  1. Go to Admin Portal > Projects

2. Once selected, adding oe editing of custom fields can be done from the new window

Once configured, custom fields can be set by Project and Group administrators to define their projects more granularity so they can be found and understood more quickly.

To assign categories to a Group or Project from user portal, click the “Admin Tools” button and select “Edit Custom Fields”

The categories assigned helps a user add more details to a Team.

To show more details click the small gear icon and select Show/Hide Columns

And then check the boxed next to categories which you wish to see
